VirtualCompose, the attendant in the video space

I. Basic to the work with VirtualCompose

By ' Composing ' the definition of the way of any objects in the space represented by a video scene is understood here.

1. Functions of version 1.7

The version 1.7 of VirtualCompose really surprised, better said me: run over! I waited even for the version 1.6, when the version 1.7 arrived. Mad concept of MLCO to send to faithful Usern the updates free of charge and in addition still with functions, about which we dared to only dream.

One of it calls itself SmartMove - too German ' intelligent course ' - and easily by depressing the key is activated. It puts titles, results of other operators (funnel, balls etc.), one to any objects, like scenes, around the factor 255 increased motion travel at the disposal. If you adjusted PAL CCIR in your project, then e.g. the horizontal dissolution amounts to exactly 688 points. If you now a scaled scene over the display induce in such a way had this scene so far exactly these 688 points for the movement to the order. SmartMove multiplies these 688 by 255 = 175440 points. One with VirtualCompose moved scene keeps thus made available for your movement in horizontal direction 175440 points and in vertical direction 142800 points. The movement is absolutely liquid, even if the scene crosses only very short distances. Thus it is now possible to move scenes (all objects) in the video gently which particularly sets new yardsticks in my Betacam and data processing contributions for advertising productions!

Likewise meu the Glamour key was added. Glamour, charm, activates 2 functions: Aura and Fade. Introduce yourselves, you must in your production a reduced scene over another background scene run to let. Both scenes are quite similar in colour and brightness. ' aura ' sets now a Glorienschein around the reduced scene and lets these better become effective. In addition, titles and all other objects can receive this aura. Colour and size of the aura can adapt you to your needs. So that the Glamour function knows, where the aura is to be set, the following is to be considered: Glamour does not detect transitions of ' transparent ' too ' transparent '. If you create a trapezoid as example from a scene, then is everywhere, where the changed scene is (thus in the trapezoid), transparency equal zero. The remainder is transparent. Thus Glamour knows that the aura is to be put there.

' Fade ' works exactly in reverse, i.e. it emphasizes edges not, separates fades out these gently. Particularly with virtual Inserts is good this function to use, since the pages of the objects are not defined sharply any longer.

It requires special effort to send a title on a course. The problem is situated in the fact that calling operators unfortunately do not pass ' transparentnesses on '. If you want to set a title on a scene, then you put simply e.g. to MonumentDesigner under the scene. After the calculation the title is to be seen beautiful on the scene. We want to send however the title on a course, which meant that only the title obscurely, everything else be however transparent must, in order to see the background scene, on the title moves. Here we must draw the MASK operator.

It becomes particularly interesting, if we want to add now still another aura. The background (see above example) should indicate the same farbeinstellungen after possibility (however not Vorraussetzung), as the aura under VirtualCompose. Accordingly also the MASK operator must have these farbeinstellungen, in order to away-punch the background.

The function ' MotionBlur ' puts ' still the crown to the moving objects ', by adding a movement tail. This can be determined in the length and works in the background (or in the foreground, if ' front ' is switched on) and smears the object. The represented picture shows one with MonumentDesigner created writing on a background (background operator with colour tone). VirtualCompose with more switched on ' aura ' and ' MotionBlur ' with MotionStep=3 used unfortunately can a Browser picture the gentle-soft movement of the writing in the video not show, which produces SmartMove.
By the way: By the possibility practically arbitrarily often of using VirtualCompose in a project new fascinating possibilities of moving in RTS are opened!.
