This page lists successful :SHOP partition tape backups and related information. These are specifically from Video professionals using the DraCo and Vlab Motion Non-Linear Video Editing systems.

Hint from Ibrahim Tertemiz (tertemiz@DRACO.MACROSYSTEM.DE):
Do NOT forget to make a backup of your project-file too. It's nice to have the video/audio data backed up but without the project file the data is worthless...

I just got a $260, 1350MB Conner Anaconda Tape unit. I just pluged it in the DKB's RapidFire SCSI II controller, unpacked the Denis Gounelle's ABackup v5.11 (got it from Aminet today) and made a backup and restore (test) of a VLM video partition and worked perfectly on both directions. The only think I had to do, to fool ABackup, wich seems to recognise only Amiga DOS partitions when restoring, was to make a quick format to the partition to restored to.
Isn't it great that something works on the first time when talking about VLM?
